The original map is
a result of the work carried out during the preparation phase of the
“Patagonian Coastal Zone Management Plan” (UNDP-GEF-FPN-WCS,
1993-1996). It presents a summary of the most relevant aspects of
each work sector of the mentioned plan (fisheries, fauna, tourism
and pollution).
The document was prepared to complement the map for school distribution.
The writing team of the document belongs to the Environmental Education
program of the Fundación Patagonia Natural, formed by María
Luisa Gómez, Lidia Molina, Juan Palla, Margarita Sacks and
María del Carmen Taboada.
Publication (ISBN: 987-97411-1-0) and distribution of this book was
carried out in the framework of the project “Consolidation and
Implementation of the Patagonian Coastal Zone Management Plan for
Biodiversity Conservation” (UNDP- MRECIyC- FPN, 2001) with an
issue for each school of the Patagonian provinces.
This material was declared of educational interest by the Education
Boards of the provinces of Río Negro -Resolution Nº2858/00-,
Chubut –Resolution Nº213/00-, Santa Cruz –Agreement
Nº228/00- and Tierra del Fuego –Resolution Nº0857/2000-.
